Speaker A:

McDonald's is bringing back uncle oh, Grimacey, the slightly larger, greener and Irish version of Grimace.

Speaker A:

They're bringing it back from the archives to help promote their Shamrock shake and mint McFlurry.

Speaker A:

Which family member of your own, Ben, would you choose to help you and the team promote Shop Talk?

Speaker B:

Oh, my God.

Speaker B:

I had no idea where you go with that.

Speaker B:

Okay, so I grew up in a small rural town in the north of England in Yorkshire.

Speaker B:

My dad is a proud Yorkshireman and there's some great cliches.

Speaker B:

So Yorkshiremen are famously straight talking, they're famously cynical, and they're famously really tight with their money.

Speaker B:

So I can imagine.

Speaker B:

So never mind.

Speaker B:

Startup picture Shop Talk.

Speaker B:

I was kind of imagining like, it's almost like challenge, Alan.

Speaker B:

If you could get my dad, if you could get my dad to spend money, then you've got an absolute winner because that's a really high bar.

Speaker B:

So challenge.

Speaker B:

I mean, that's where we go.

Speaker A:

That's amazing.

Speaker C:

It's so funny.

Speaker C:

I literally said to Ann last week, we don't hear the name Alan anymore either, didn't I?

Speaker C:

And I literally said that to you?

Speaker C:

Yes.

Speaker C:

All right, then.

Speaker C:

The teaser trailer for the new Fantastic Four film debuted this week.

Speaker C:

If you could have any of the Fantastic Four's superpowers, which one would you choose?

Speaker B:

Oh, that's an easy one.

Speaker B:

Fly.

Speaker B:

Absolutely.

Speaker C:

Johnny Storm.

Speaker B:

Johnny.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

I mean, I'm not.

Speaker B:

I'm not there on the bursting into flames, but.

Speaker B:

But flying, yeah, that would be so cool.

Speaker B:

Wouldn't that, wouldn't that be brilliant?

Speaker B:

I'd love to hear that.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker C:

Plastic Man.

Speaker C:

I wouldn't mind be Plastic man too.

Speaker C:

That's pretty cool.

Speaker A:

Again, I have no idea what you're talking about.

Speaker A:

Listeners will not be surprised at all that I have could not name a single Fantastic Four.

Speaker A:

Is that what they're called?

Speaker A:

Fantastic Four people?

Speaker A:

Yes.

Speaker A:

All right, let's go to question number three.

Speaker A:

Ben.

Speaker A:

Tariffs are on the minds of retailers and consumers these days.

Speaker A:

And some retailers are reporting that they're seeing out of stocks because customers are starting to stockpile goods.

Speaker A:

If you could bring an extra suitcase with you to Vegas during shop talk to stockpile some US products to take home to the uk, what would it be?

Speaker B:

Oh, man.

Speaker B:

And it's not.

Speaker B:

Not a suitcase full of shops or branded swag.

Speaker B:

I've been lucky enough.

Speaker B:

I spend a lot of time in the US as you guys know.

Speaker B:

I've been worked us a long time.

Speaker B:

So I have, I've got.

Speaker B:

There's lots of things that I really enjoy when I'm over.

Speaker B:

But if I could bring one thing, I'd love to bring back.

Speaker B:

A huge suitcase full of west coast sunshine just to brighten the dower London screen.

Speaker C:

That's amazing.

Speaker C:

Better that than Parliament lights.

Speaker C:

All right, last one.

Speaker C:

Te Voodoo Tay Voodoo.

Speaker C:

A term Taylor Swift fans coined to describe the outsized effect Taylor appears to have on the universe.

Speaker C:

This is real.

Speaker C:

Could be on full display at this weekend's Super Bowl.

Speaker C:

Ben.

Speaker C:

So who's it going to be?

Speaker C:

The Chiefs or the Eagles?

Speaker B:

Oh, wow.

Speaker B:

We almost got for a whole podcast without mentioning Taylor Swift.

Speaker B:

That was.

Speaker C:

Right.

Speaker B:

It was close.

Speaker B:

That.

Speaker B:

That was close.

Speaker B:

I think it's gonna be really.

Speaker B:

It's gonna be really, really close.

Speaker B:

What can I be sure of?

Speaker B:

I think New Orleans is going to be put on a really good show.

Speaker B:

I think the halftime show will be good, but not as good as the Choctaw beach party, that's for sure.

Speaker B:

I.

Speaker B:

Look, history tells us doing three times is really, really, really hard.

Speaker B:

But we know that if you've got the best quarterback, you probably win.

Speaker B:

So I'm going for the Chiefs and the three peat.

Speaker C:

The Chiefs and the three peat.

Speaker C:

Oh, man.

Speaker C:

I know our Philly fans, like Evan Gold, will be very disappointed to hear you say that.
